Established in 1983 and joining the Football Federation of South Australia (FFSA) in 2009, The Cove FC has grown rapidly into a prominent soccer club south of Adelaide. With a comprehensive junior development program initiated in 2009, the club fields teams across various competitions including the FSA State League 2 Senior men’s, Senior Women’s State League, Junior Premier League, Junior State League, Miniroos, and FSA Girls competition, spanning from Miniroo (under 6 to Under 11) to junior teams (Under 12s to under 16s, and Under 11 to Under 17 girls’ teams). The Cove FC aims to be "more than a club," fostering inclusivity and strong connections within the community. This vision led to an ambitious Strategic Plan in 2013, introducing initiatives like school holiday soccer programs, summer 5-a-side teams, an in-house tournament, and a youth development Elite Academy. In 2019, the club secured government funding for a new $7 million soccer complex on Majors Road, including a clubroom, changing rooms, and pitches, with plans to relocate there in March 2022. The Cove FC's professional approach is reflected in its STARCLUB Accreditation and NCAS 2 Star Accreditation achieved in 2016.
